Some people have a self-help shelf. I have Self's Shelf, named after my married name and stocked with a little shelf-care. Everything on it earned its spot: products I'm passionate about, use myself and trust. Order online, then pop into the salon to pick yours up.
Ever since I can remember, I've battled with my weight. It's been a journey — full of ups and downs, successes and failures, and more starting-overs than I can count. What actually changed things wasn't another diet or another program. It was changing the narrative I told myself. Swapping the negative self-talk for something positive — making time for myself, practising self-love, choosing personal growth over punishment. That's when the real results started. I've had weight loss surgery. I've tried the pills. I've done the injections. And here's the truth: none of it works without you turning up for yourself, every single day. This is where Self's Shelf came from. It wasn't one big thing — it was the small things. A good creatine and protein blend. Activewear that actually made me want to move. Skin products and supplements that made me feel like myself again. Little pieces that made the journey easier, and made me feel good along the way. Thank yourself for showing up. Consistency is everything — the small things really do matter. Start being kind to yourself, and things will start to change for the better. Change the narrative. Move through it. Show up for yourself. Do your own glow up. Sarah xx
